Never Forget a Form Again
You’ve probably had this thought before, “how do I stay on top of all my forms?!” After a certain point, it becomes difficult to keep them all in rotation and fresh in your memory.
This tool will then give you a full training schedule including the forms and applications you chose, spread over 4 or 8 weeks (depending on whether you are training forms, applications or both). The schedule is structured to ensure that each element receives the appropriate amount of attention according to your priorities, and you can adjust it with just a few clicks whenever your circumstances or priorities change.
Of course it needn’t be just forms or kung fu applications, you could use this to schedule any type of training. Want to work on your boxing footwork, your jab speed and your head movement? Put it in! Want to work on your kimura, chokes and transitioning to side control? Why not!? You could even schedule guitar or language practice if you wanted.
The tool is built in an Excel spreadsheet, but you don’t need to know anything about how to use Excel. As long as you can open the file and type in a box, you will be fine!
You can see an example schedule below, which covers both forms and applications. Yours will be customised to whatever you want to train.
I’ve been using this to structure my forms practice lately, and it really is a game changer!
I’ve been able to stay on top of the forms I know (a rather long list these days), and refresh my memory on some of those that have been lurking in the back of my brain for a while. The tool also allows you to keep track of all the forms that you aren’t training, so that you don’t forget about them, and can cycle them into your practice regimen over time. You know, like that form that you will definitely never forget you’ve done it so many times, but then suck at when you perform it for the first time in 5 years.
So forget the question “how do I manage practicing all the forms I know?”, this is the answer.

And that’s just the sequences too, throw in all the applications and developing the skill to use them and that’s an awful lot to be training.
I’ve been asked many times about the best way to handle this problem, and if you aren’t training all day every day, it can be a pretty hard one to solve!
Luckily, there is a solution; a structured training plan that ensures each of your forms and/or applications gets the attention they need. Doing this means that you can make sure you remember everything, improve your skills and keep developing as a martial artist.
But building such a plan can be a time intensive process, and if you need to make changes, like when you get busy and need to train less frequently, you have to rework it all.
To solve this issue, I built a simple to use automated training scheduler tool that will create a custom training schedule for you. All you need to do is tell it how often you want to train and what you think the most important things for you to train are. That’s it!
